I was sitting on the fence selling art in New Orleans during a visit. Someone walked by and, apparently, said that they liked the one on the end, but somehow my brain heard something about "fairy possums." So, ta-da... fairy possums.

I did this for those moments when you're with someone, but starting to doubt being with them. For those moments when you start to feel that they are more emotionally involved than yourself. For every "I miss you," and "I like you, too" that starts to feel a little... forced. Yet, you don't end it just yet because you want to be sure before you hurt someone.

We all have a spirit in us that calls to nature and connects with her. We all have a spirit in us of birth, rebirth, growth, and intuition. We often call it women's intuition, but I believe men have this, too. Tapping into that spirit is what elevates us as creatures on this planet. We have a place here far more tangible than any in the world we have created. Far more present, and it's this place that I long for, to know better. To BE.

Honestly, I have just been in an autumn mood since July, and between reading "Slewfoot," and wanting to watch "The Witch," I just kind of put this out there. lol It was more free drawing than anything planned.

What if the monsters we knew as kids, under the bed and in the closet, were actually sent to protect us?
What if they truly were just friends for us so we wouldn't be alone in the dark? What if all they wanted was to keep us safe? They don't look like anything we know. It's dark. Who sees clearly in the dark? And with the rampant mind of a child, no less? No wonder we were afraid of them.
However, like any protection detail, you should be afraid of them, even just a little. Healthy dose of self-preservation and all.

My favorite time of the year— well, one of them, it October to go pumpkin adopting! It is such a fun time and keeps childhood alive. Pumpkins have become such a fun expression of creativity and they are cheerful as can be! Magical and expressive. Each has a personality.

“To become one’s thoughts; tangled and unknown. Alone.”
Stuck in your head. I never stay in one place. My mind wanders too frequently for me to be present, even when conversing with people. It can be a problem sometimes, but in all honesty it is one of my favorite places to be.

She waits alone in woods deep,
upon a stone,
a loveseat.
There she sits
for them to come,
souls to claim one by one.
A chalice filled
with potion dark,
to stop their hearts.
A Temptress an eternity
she shall be.
Alone on her loveseat.
